Ryan Braun Watch

Well, the Brewers are still completely bombing the 2nd half of the season.  Now the Cubs and Cardinals are right on our tail and short of a division title, there’s no way we’re taking the wild card (the Brewers would be 3.5 games back in that race right now).

To make matters worse, the one potential bright spot amongst all this terrible play, seems to be fading.  As of this morning, Ryan Braun needs 205 at bats over the remaining 41 games in order to qualify for the batting title.  For those without a calculator, that’s an even 5 at bats per game.   Looks impossible unless the offense goes absolutely insane for the remainder of the year (the kind of stuff that only happens in video games).

  1. It’s not AB’s that are required, it’s plate appearances. So add walks, HBP, and sacs. It’s 3.1 PA per games. So 502 PA not AB.
